Taqueria Torres in Alvarado

It's a quick fix for Mexican food. It's not the best in town. The hot sauce is the best thing on the menu. It's the cleanliness of this place that makes it a con for eating there. The bathrooms will make you want to pewk.

The food was really good! We both had the lunch specials, they gave us two beers and one Margarita and one Coke for free, (happy hour). Chips were hot and hot sauce was spicy and tasty. Someone else got the fajitas and it smelled so good! Definitely worth the stop. Our bill was under 12.00!! Check them out on Facebook to know the specials ahead of time

Just what the doctor ordered! 6 chicken enchaladas and 6 cheese and it was only 22 bucks. Fed the whole family! Really good by the way! :)

I've eaten here for years and the food has always been solid. Not amazing but consistently very good. The flavors are good, more authentic Mexican than some others, and the portions are generous. Last night I tried the nachos with chicken and beef and was very satisfied. Everything was fresh and delicious and it was a huge portion. Lots of toppings and a good mix. I hate places where nachos just consist of chips, runny cheese, and a few flakes of meat. This was definitely not that. I'm only angry at myself because I hadn't tried them sooner. Service was quick and attentive. They lost one star for extremely uncomfortable chairs.

Been trying out different little places around the area and this one takes it! Prices are good and food is even better. Our waitress was awesome and the $5 taco plate is life!

This is a great place to go for lunch. The $5 taco special is a lot of food for the price and the Barbacoa is delicious! The servers are friendly and the best part for me is they are fast. Easy to get in and out when you have an hour for lunch.

The worst Mexican food ever! Never eating here again.

DISGUSTINGGGGG. we had a table of four,and no one enjoyed their food. and yes the portions of food were a great size. but the food is way too expensive for something so bad. we got fajitas and it was built like brisket. didn’t even cut it. the beans were watery. and the food had zero taste.

I like the chicken tortilla soup but order it to go it much better to go.

First time there this week and was pleasantly surprised.excellent service by Jonathan and food was very good. Will return soon.

Delicious Mexican food! Amazing salsa and free beer and margaritas! Who can complain? The service was good, and our meals were very affordable with over sized portions! I highly recommend their fajitas!! They are amazing!!

One of our favorite new finds. I tend to judge a mexican food restaurant starting with the chips and salsa and Taqueria Torres does not dissapoint. From apperizers to entrees everything is super yummy.

3 street taco plate is where it's at, tried most of the meat types, all are good. Some stand out are the chorizo and barbacoa. Great service, fast lunch orders, chips and salsa are solid. Come for lunch when the need for tacos strikes.

Guevos Rancheros recocidos salsa was good but had jalapenos not peppers flour tirtillas raw

Amazing steak and chicken fajitas, literally ran out of tortillas because there was so much left over. Will be back soon to dine in and enjoy their free house margaritas

The place always has great food.

It's always been my experience that out of the way small family places serve the best food. Taqueria Torres is without a doubt in this category. The food and reasonable and the table service is great. The home made hot sauce is some of the best I've had in a long time.

Never had a bad meal! We've been for breakfast and dinner and always enjoy the food. Great staff... only bad is the parking. Shares a tiny parking lot with a gas station so can be hard to park.

I used to eat here twice a week when I lived nearby. It's been awhile since I came in but man... I realized how much I miss this place. The ceviche is awesome and the tacos tapatios didn't disappoint! Salsa is great, good kick to it. I highly recommend this place

We found this place randomly on the way home from Dallas to Austin. Food was AWFUL.. Potatoes looked two days old. Salsa sucked. No flavor. Tomato sauce with jalapenos added lol. The barbacoa tasted reheated as well. Rice sucked. Had absolutely no flavor....My husband was sick the rest of the day...Would give 0 stars if possible.

Best Mexican food in town. Very friendly staff. Awesome fajitas and free adult beverages. I eat here several times a month.

I was very surprised at the quality of the tacos that I ordered. Two small tacos was plenty. With a small glass of water I was quite full. I was even more surprised at the small price. If you order a family-size or large container of guacamole you'll be surprised at the quality of the taste.

Pretty good food...my sister took me and my wife there for lunch..my tacos had so much meat in them that if I took some out,il be able to make 4 more tacos...👍

Best Mexican food around

Me and my daughter went there Friday night. Got chips when we got our food which the chips were stale. We got beef fahitas tacos and this meat was old and dry. Rice was cold and I got 1 spoon of beans. It was awful..

This place is my go to Mexican comfort food stop. Fajita Thursdays. All day. Free Margaritas. With entrees. Less TexMex and more home cooking. Friendly Clean. Just good food. Love it. Very responsible prices.

The food was actually very good excellent portions wonderful flavor, service was also adequate no complaints there, well almost. They did not have soap in the men's Room when I informed them of that he said O no sir there is soap in the dispenser it's just broken. This tells me they knew that we could not wash our hands two they weren't planning to do anything about it and 3 it makes me wonder how they wash their hands. so for me that makes this an epic fail of a restaurant.

$10 for a drink and a greasy quesadilla... both tasted like garbage.... girl taking orders is a moron don't waste your time or money

Portions were great, I went in wanting taquitos but the fryer was being cleaned. The fajitas were tasty. Only complaints are it lacked salt, and the jalepenos in the salad were huge and way too hot. Salsa and chips were delicious! Parking here is a nightmare as they are connected to a gas station.

Its by far the absolute best Mexican food place in the world!! Me and my family have been eating here for years and will continue going here.. Everybody that works here is super friendly. Its perfect!!
